Sat - June 25

Saturday was our first full day of the reunion.  The weather was outstanding!  We had two major events scheduled and lots of little events sprang up during the day.

To start it off, Ann took a group off on a hike!  They had a great time and even met up with Uncle Paul.

Ann with Kaylee, Abby, Jadyn, Madison and Robbie
Off they go with Paul at the lead.

Our first stop was at Ready-Paint-Fire.  This was a ceramic shop in Breckenridge.  We'd contacted the owner and they opened at 10am just for our family.  Everyone was able to pick a project and for the next 2-3 hours everyone painted.  The completed projects were then fired Saturday and we picked them up Tuesday.  Here's everyone with their selected item.

Abby with her Unicorn
Ann completed this plate by getting the
12 thumb-prints of each of the grandkids
Grandma Helen did a bowl
Jadyn did a princess sitting on the moon
Jaxson completed "Thomas the Train" & Jonah
sat in his stroller and supervised
Jill did a candy bowl in the shape of ???? DA...Texas
John is super proud of his little turtle!
Joshua had to pick part of the human body, a skull
Kaylee completed a princes crown jewelry box
Kim did a large bowl
Madison detailed a penguin
Is Mollie excited about her bowl or what????
Nicole tried to take a bite out of her ice cream cone
Parker and Dad did another "Thomas the Train"
Paul selected a bud vase
Piikea did a fire hydrant for Chloe (their new Pug)
Robbie completed a dinosaur
Taylor did a flower shaped piggy bank
Tiffany selected a large square bowl
Tyler's pretty proud of his spider

Warren found a dog bowl for CoCo

There was next to no help for the kids from parents. This was their project and they had their freedom to make it look however they wanted! We won't label these photos taken as they paint so enjoy...

Everyone completed their projects and not a single item was dropped - WOW!!!!!

For a little rest and relaxation we caught the new "CARS 2" movie at the Dillon Theatre.  Grandma Helen stayed home and watched Jonah.

I thought this was a 3D movie...where are the black-rimmed glasses?

Pretty cool looking bunch of "Dudes"....
Is that one of the "Blues Brothers down front?

T.J. and Tiffany provided dinner for Saturday night.  It was a yummy chicken w/rice that was cooked all day!

Tiffany is pretty happy that the crock-pots worked reducing
some of the cooking work for the evening meal!

Everyone lined up...who's that at the front dishing it up...
wasn't he supposed to be one of the cooks?

After dinner there was time for some volleyball, basketball and horseshoes out on the parking lot and next to the house.  Lots of fun for all that participated!

Piikea demonstrates the proper technique
 for setting the volleyball

Mollie has the form down and actually put
herself and Paul in the lead...only for a while though

Wow, grandma's got it down
and helped keep her and grandpa close

Paul looks pretty confident,
but was robbed numerous times inspite of great pitching

In the end, consistent form and endurance payed off as another
ringer is tossed!  Now, is that the way it really ended?
We won't tell here, but the look on Grandpa's face says VICTORY!!!!

After the kids were put to bed the adults had a mean game of "Apples to Apples"

After the dust had cleared Ann was the winner!

The day ended and everyone had a great time.  The ceramic painting was the hit of the day!
