Tue - June 28

Tuesday we all were excited to take a look at the Breckenridge Fun Park.  We were not sure what they had to offer but we were all excited.  We sort of "hung out" until after lunch then off we headed.

We had to park in the lot at the base of the mountain and be bused up to the fun park.  Upon our arrival we purchased tickets for everyone similar to the one featured below and then headed off in various packs of family and cousins!

A quick review of what was offered made us wish we'd come in the morning and stayed the entire day.  There was a roller coaster, alpine slide, miniature golf, maze, gold panning, bunji jumping, rock climbing, pony petting, gondola rides to the top of the ski runs...about 12,000 ft and a few other offerings.  Needless to say, there was a lot to keep us entertained.

Below is a photo array divided up by venue of all the fun we had.

This is the "Alpine Slide".  Not too many explored this offer since they had so much fun elsewhere.

Warren and Taylor headed to the top
Hear comes Madison down the slide!

Abby and Kaylee having fun
Josh & Joshua are cruising

Next was the climbing wall

Looks pretty intimidating, but...
Madison gave it a go!
Kaylee was the pro, she conquered the top frequently
Kaylee looks like she's walking up
Nicole wasn't afraid at all!

Next came the "Maze".  Not at all intimidating,
but very frustrating when you couldn't find your way out.
I think John and Piikea are hiding out!
Help, we're lost is the plea of Paul and Mollie

We can't find Joshua and Josh!  Have you seen them?
We're still all together says the Johnson's
Everyone went up the mountain in the chair lift.  It drops you off at about 12,000ft and from there you can see back to the east as far as the eye can see, over 50 miles for sure.  If we would have had mt. bikes I suppose that we could have cycled back down, but for us, we just road the chairlift back.

Can you guess who's shadow this is?
Here's Jonah, Jill and Jadyn
Looks like Robbie, Abby, Tyler and Tiffany
Parker & T.J. with Warren & Nicole
Madison, Grandma and Taylor making their way up
Kim and Kaylee with the chair...guard up???

Once at the top we had a moment for family pictures.  We missed T.J. & Tiff's group...darn.

The Johnson's
The Nielsen's

Here's the entire group...missed Great Grandma Helen who was back in Frisco and Mollie, Paul, John & Piikea who cut out early to catch Kungfu Panda!

Jayden, Josh and Jaxson lead the way back down
Back down at the base of the mountain, there was still a ton to do.  Here's everyone enjoying a game of miniature golf
I think grandma is trying to school this group!
The McVey's have this wired
Mollie trying to assist Parker
All the Nielsen's seem to be enjoying this adventure!
Now which way should we hit the ball?
Is this supposed to be fun?  I'm smiling!
Don't bother me, I can handle this myself!
Grandma shows Taylor the finer points of putting!
From putting to panning for Gold, and we learned that Robbie has a special interest here!
There's gold in them there boxes!
Josh teaches Jaxson the finer details
Joshua really enjoyed this
The McVey boys are intent aren't they!
Mommy, let me show you show you how it's done!
Jadyn is trying to show Grandma the gold she found!

Kaylee's consentration will help find that gold!
Robbie was the real pro!  Look at that concentration!

Next up, the "Bunji Jump"!  This one's not for the weak in heart or the overweight!  That pretty much left it to the kids and Warren.  Boy did the kids enjoy this one!

Jadyn was fearless at this experience

Kaylee was the pro doing all sorts of flips and twists!

Taylor was all over this activity!  She really had fun here...back in line over and over!

Tyler was a little hesitant at first, but that faded quickly!

Robbie had a good time as long as he had ahold of the guideropes

Madison got the hang of it quickly

Abby was outstanding...thanks tumbling!

Nicole had no fear and flew as high as most!

Warren really knew what he was doing

The last activity we haven't talked about yet was the roller coaster.  As you can see from the photo's below, this was individual cars that the driver controlled the spead.  It was really fun.  In this aray we won't make any comments.  Just know that it was FUN!!!

We all had a fantastic time at the Breckenridge Fun Park and would for sure recommend it as a full day activity to anyone who visits.  You could pack your lunch or purchase there.  During our walking around, there were a number of photos that can't be missed so here they are without comment....

When we returned to the home, it was time for dinner and Jill and Josh treated us to a Texas feast with Fajitas and tacos.  During the preparation, Mollie made ready for the birthday boy....John!

 The birthday boy!

After dinner we presented everyone with their complete ceramic items

Afer the celebration of birthday and completed ceramics, the kids were put to bed and the adults enjoyed "The Prince or Persia" then retired after a long day!
